Cibola National Forest Sandía Crest Trailhead. Definitive
references remain elusive, but we know the "Crest Loop" includes this
trailhead and that part of the loop is called the "CCC Trail".
CCC is the New Deal Civilian Conservation Corps[2,3]. And we also know
that a
CCC-built limestone cabin is on this
loop, on Trails #130 and #94 which both start here (
see
sign).
