"Practically all railroad and crane tracks in the yard are in pavements and
most of them are on filled ground. They necessarily carry heavy concentrated
loads, and as a result of these conditions are expensive to maintain. The
general character of construction is shown in figure J-18. Practically the
entire track system in the yard was thoroughly overhauled. Transportation
equipment consists of cars of the various types, locomotives, and
cranes. Special provisions were made for overhauling all of this equipment
with relief labor."[1,p.86]
