The Willis Avenue Bridge between Manhattan and Bronx. This is a new bridge that replaced the original one in 2007. The original Willis Avenue bridge was built in 1901 and had its roadway reconstructed in the 1930s by the WPA. But even the new prefabricated bridge has a New Deal connection: In order to deliver it to the site, the Harlem River Lift Span of the New Deal Triborough Bridge had to be raised to let it pass (click the image to read the NY Metropolitan Transit Authority press release of July 26, 2010, or, in case the link has gone stale, click here to enlarge the image).
