Central Park's North Meadow, created (like the Great Lawn) by work relief forces (CWA, TERA, WPA) 1934-36, which to this day, like the Great Lawn, requires constant grass-cutting, tending of baseball diamonds, trash collection, upkeep, and maintenance, and therefore jobs that would not exist without the New Deal.
