Passenger Building (with wharf) and Freight Shed, Colonial Historical Park, Yorktown Virginia. “The Colonial National Historical Park, carried out by the National Park Service, embraces Yorktown, Jamestown, and Williamsburg. The passenger building, freight shed, and wharf at Yorktown were required to care for the traffic by water and have been designed in the style of similar buildings of the Colonial period. The passenger building is frame construction and the freight shed is brick. The wharf is concrete and was completed in January 1936 at a cost of $55,758.33.”[1]
